Nursery

Our nursery provides early education and care, led by our experienced Nursery Teacher and fully qualified staff for children aged from 2 years to preschool age.

What will the children be learning?

Our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five years. We focus on developing key skills through play, exploration and active learning. The EYFS is built around these prime areas of learning:

  • Personal, social and emotional development – Building confidence, forming relationships and understanding emotions
  • Communication and language – Developing listening, speaking and understanding skill
  • Physical development – Strengthening fine and gross motor skills and encouraging healthy habits
  • Additionally, children will engage in activities covering the four specific areas of learning
  • Literacy – Early reading, writing, and language skills
  • Mathematics – Understanding numbers, shapes, and patterns
  • Understanding the World – Exploring the environment, cultures, and technology
  • Expressive Arts and Design – Encouraging creativity through art, music, and imaginative play

Children will take part in a mix of adult-led activities and independent learning opportunities, designed to help them grow and explore at their own pace.
